Ryam Adams writes eleven new songs inspired by Ronnie James Dio’s funeral

American singer-songwriter Ryan Adams says he has written 11 new songs.

Not surprising for one of the world’s most prolific artists, but this new material has been inspired solely by the funeral of rock legend Ronnie James Dio.

Former Black Sabbath frontman Dio (pictured) died in April and was buried in LA at the end of the month.

Adams wrote on his Facebook page: “11 new solo tunes came out of nowhere. Day after Dio's funeral they just fell out. Soft mellow acoustic jams – lots of New Orleans scenery and vibe from the trip... I am official very excited again.”
