Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant and other well-known musicians have been recalling their memories of drummer Michael Lee, who died recently, on Lasting Tribute.
Plant, who invited him to play on one of his albums and a world tour, described him as the "rhythm bridge between the '70s and 21st century...always cutting loose - looking for a new way," with a relentless energy, displayed on one occasion when he travelled the country after a long day's rehearsal to play a midnight gig.
His funeral is due to take place tomorrow in his home town of Darlington. Click here to read the memories posted by some of Lee's famous friends.
