An appeal has been launched to recover rare recordings and film of the likes of Bob Marley and Peter Tosh which were stolen from a broadcasting headquaters in Jamaica.
Thieves stole thousands of original records, music reels and historic film footage from the offices of the Public Broadcasting Corporation Of Jamaica in Kingston last January. The material was intended to form part of the national archive library.
“It’s a national disgrace,” said Gladstone Wilson, former programme manager. “All that history is lost.”
